DENISE HUE

BIO
While attending Columbia University, Denise worked as a bookkeeper for the Episcopal Diocese of New York at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine. After completing studies at Columbia with a degree in economics, Denise moved to Maine in 1984. While working as a self-employed bookkeeper, Denise continued her studies at the University of Maine at Orono in the field of accounting. For six years, Denise worked as a senior accountant in the tax department of Brooks and Carter in Bangor, Maine. Denise became a CPA in 1992 and opened her own firm in Downtown Ellsworth, Maine.

Denise lives in Ellsworth, Maine with her husband David Herrington. Together with David's brother, they own and operate a retail store in Downtown Ellsworth. Denise and David own and manage several rental properties.

Denise's areas of specialization and interest are: rental real estate, small business consulting, tax preparation and planning to meet a wide variety of challenges and opportunities.

As a long time manager of a local garden center, daughter of small business owners, and a lifetime resident of Downeast Maine, Dory has first hand experience with the challenges facing entrepreneurs. These challenges inspired her to change career paths. She felt that she could better serve her community helping business owners and individuals achieve their financial and tax goals.
Dory's areas of specialization and interest are: QuickBooks Online, including training; QuickBooks setup; bookkeeping; payroll processing and taxes; non-profit bookkeeping; small business consulting; compilations; tax planning; and tax preparation for individuals and businesses.

Oceanna moved to Downeast Maine from Philadelphia in 2018 while still a high school student. They quickly realized that Maine felt special to them, and they wanted to call it their forever home.
Oceana has worked in offices over the years as a receptionist and financial assistant, which has helped them gain the necessary skills to be successful as an office administrator.
Oceanna's life partner Naaki is a small business owner, and this has sparked a passion for them to help others achieve their highest potential and keep them organized. They are an excellent problem solver and is passionate about finding creative solutions to help individuals reach their goals.
A lover of the outdoors and adventure, you can find them swimming in the ocean, foraging, gardening, and hiking in their free time. Oceanna is also an animal lover, and has had her childhood cat Patches for the last 14 years.
